Ordering online from Emoodicon is super-easy. We use E-Junkie's shopping cart to provide a seamless and secure shopping experience.
- Click the Buy Now button for the item you wish to purchase. A shopping cart window will open up within the site.
- Enter your zip code where indicated and click the update cart button. This is used to determine shipping and whether tax must be applied to your order.
- Select your ring size and which Emoodicon set you want. You can click 'Checkout' to place your order or 'Keep Shopping' to add the item to your cart and add more items. You can also update the cart to add more than one of a given item.
- Once you've added all the items that you wish to purchase to your cart, you can begin the checkout process. Choose from the payment options at the bottom of the cart (currently PayPal, Google Checkout and Authorize.net).This process varies depending on which payment option you select… PayPal and Google Checkout will require you to log in to your account and confirm your order. If you select Authorize.net you will be asked to confirm your order and enter your Shipping Information, Billing Information and submit your order.
- With all payment options, you will receive an order confirmation email. When your order has been shipped, you will receive a final email stating so.
Yes! Our shopping cart and the payment processors are all protected using the most up-to-date and trusted online security techniques, including 128-bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption, testing and verification.
Any personal information given to Emoodicon.com will be protected. In order to protect customers to the fullest extent, Emoodicon does not store your credit card information at any time.
When you place your order, you will receive a confirmation email. A second email will tell you when your order has shipped. We do not have a way to track the status in a live-updated way.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express, and Debit Cards backed by the Credit Card companies listed. To pay directly with your credit or debit card, select Authorize.net in the shopping cart payment options. If you wish to pay using a bank account or e-check, select PayPal or Google Checkout as your method of payment. Our cart features an SSL secure connection during the transaction keeping your information secure and private. Please note that the charge on your statement will appear "Emoodicon".
Yes! Please send us an email from the contact page and tell us where you would like to sell our products. We offer wholesale pricing to both online and offline retailers. We will email you with pricing and payment requirements. All vendors must be approved by us before carrying our products. Once your vendor status is approved, you will be able to order at the vendor price with a minimum order.
Please check your spam folder to see if our response is there. We respond to all emails as promptly as possible, but sometimes our response is not recognized by your email provider as a valid email.Because we're a small company, sometimes our customer service can be a bit backed up. If you sent an email and haven't heard back from us, try sending a second inquiry or calling our contact number at 231.584.2710.
Our goal is to ship within 48 hours of your order and have your ring to you within a couple days. If we expect a delay in shipping, we will let you know in the confimation order for your purchase. If the delay is significant, and you would prefer a full refund, we will happily oblige.
Currently all orders ship via USPS. We are looking for an order fulfillment company that can provide a broader range of options.
Costs vary based on your location and the weight of the items in your order. To determine the cost of shipping, simply add the items you wish to order to your cart, enter your zip code and click the "update cart" button.
Not yet. But as soon as we find an order fulfillment company that we can integrate with our shopping cart, we will offer more shipping options, including ground shipping with tracking numbers. Hopefully it will be available in the near future.
If you have received a shipping confirmation email, than yes, your order has been shipped. If you are concerned, please email us and include your order number from the email you received when you placed your order. We will make sure you get your order asap.
International orders may incur a customs fee or duty taxes. This fee is charged by your government, not Emoodicon.com and we wish we could get around it but we can't.
Only Michigan orders are charged an tax along with the shipping fee. That's because the company is based in Michigan.
We want you to love what you order. If you're not satisfied with your purchase, please return the item(s) for an exchange, refund or credit.
All returns must be in the original condition that you received them in. If any part of the item has been used, we will not be able to refund your purchase. If a used item is returned, we will refuse it and ask you to pay to have it returned to you.
If you wish to return a ring but have peeled the Emoodicons off their backing, we can refund the ring purchase minus the purchase price of an icon accessory sheet.
You may return items for a full refund (of purchase price) within 30 days of receipt. Please note that no shipping charges will be refunded. Simply mail it back to us with a note about why you are returning it and we will issue you a full refund within 1-2 weeks of receiving your item.
In order to process your return, please include your name, email address and order number along with the items that you are returning
If you received the wrong item or if the item is defective, we will reimburse you for the cost of shipping the item back to us. Please send the item back regular mail and include your receipt with the return. We will not reimburse for express shipping. We also cannot refund the original shipping cost.
Returns can take 1-2 weeks to be processed once we receive them. When your return is processed, we will send you a notification email. Check your spam folder to make sure the notification didn't get marked as spam.
The Emoodicon ring was designed by John T Unger after an idea that came up in conversation with Chris Carfi. The journey from idea to finished product involved a lot of revisions, back and forth and searching for the perfect sources for each component. It's actually been a very fun and interesting adventure and we're both excited to expand on the idea with new product offerings on an ongoing basis. The first two Icon designs (as well as the animated film) were done by Sheharzad Arshad.
The rings are made from Stainless steel with a glass face. We chose stainless over sterling for several reasons, the most important being the precision machining required for the threaded cap. We were also concerned that the threads would wear out on sterling since it's a soft metal. Stainless is hypoallergenic, does not tarnish and is durable and easy to clean. It also kind of makes sense for an emoticon based line of jewelry since it has a more "techie" feel than sterling.
The Emoodicon icons are printed on Gloss Polycarbonate Laminated over White Gloss Polyester (we don't know what that means either, but it looks awesome and is totally waterproof). The icons are laser cut and peel off the backing with no adhesive residue and no rough edges.
We suggest that you remove your ring before showering or doing dishes (or boating in stormy weather). Although stainless does not rust and the printed discs are waterproof, it's a reasonable precaution with most jewelry to keep it dry.
We also caution you not to tighten the cap on your ring too tight as this can dislodge the glass face… You don't need to leave the cap loose, just don't crank on it too hard either.
We suggest that you visit a jeweler and have them measure your ring size if you don't know what it is… you can measure it yourself using printable templates found online (like this one) but a jeweler can help make sure the fit is correct.

To score submissions, use the ratings widget at the bottom of each post. Score each entry on a scale of 0-5 (0 is ick, 5 is kickass). The system only allows you one vote per submission but you can vote on as many submissions as you like in both contests.

By submitting your photo, you are granting us permanent rights to use it on the site or in promotions. Photos are screened and posted as soon as they have been checked by a human.By submitting a photo to the photo gallery, you enter to win a free ring. We will be awarding Photo Contest winners once a month with a free ring and Emoodicon set.
We respect your right to privacy. At Emoodicon.com we collect only the information necessary for us to complete your order or to contact to you regarding the status of your order. The information we collect includes your name, email address, shipping address, and billing address. Emoodicon does not store your credit card information.
Emoodicon.com will not rent or sell your name or personal information ever.
Emoodicon.com does utilize "cookies" to help recognize you as a repeat visitor and to track traffic patterns on our site. This information is completely anonymous. We use this information to improve the user-friendliness and functionality of Emoodicon.com.
